From start to finish working with Great Environmental to remove asbestos flooring from our basement following flooding in July has been a dream. As a working mom of two young children, after the flooding, I knew that we had a long road ahead of us with cutting out drywall and removing the damaged flooring, not even aware of the mess that was hidden underneath the visible flooring. When I found out we needed to remediate before even thinking about installing flood control in the basement or refinishing the damages that resulted of the 3 feet of water, my heart sank. How could this be done safely? What’s the timeline? Process? We found Great Environmental and after the initial inspection and consultation, I immediately felt relief knowing we were in good hands. We had a timeline set, details explained, and most importantly, safety concerns addressed. The actual removal process was completed quickly, professionally done and with expert care. I felt confident bringing my kids my kids home knowing we are safe and protected. Miguel and his crew were simply amazing. They worked quickly and quietly, taking care to properly dispose of all materials leaving no trace of themselves or the process behind. While they worked, I received text updates, which gave me a peace of mind, as I was at work. After the area passed air quality testing we were given permission to enter the basement. It was such a relief to see those tiles gone and knowing it was done safely, professionally and around our schedule was a huge relief.
